Highlights

Section titled “Highlights”
  • Tree and board: lists show records under their parents (Tree view) or as cards in the columns of a select field (Board view), next to table and cards.
  • Working together on a record: comments with @mentions and Reply requested as a task in the inbox, and checklists with who ticked an item and when.
  • Pictures and progress in lists: ImageColumn for users and records, ProgressColumn for done of total.
  • Detail pages as tabs: $relationTabs puts every section below the form into a tab.

Enhancements

Section titled “Enhancements”
  • Tree view of a collection (Collection::VIEW_TREE, tree()): records under their parents, opened and closed in the browser and with the keyboard, matches of search and filters with their ancestors, Add below, and moving records up, down, in and out with reorderable: true. See Tree view.
  • Board view of a collection (Collection::VIEW_BOARD, board()): cards in columns of a SelectColumn, moved by dragging or with their menu through the same action as the choice in the table, work in progress limits and collapsed columns. See Board view.
  • Comments on records ($comments = true, comments()): one level of replies, Markdown, @mentions of users who may see the record, Reply requested as a task done by answering, editing with visible versions or an edit window, removing with a note, notifications of participants with muting, CommentCountColumn. New permissions <slug>.comment and <slug>.moderate. See Comments.
  • Checklists on records ($checklist = true, checklist()): free items, who ticked them and when, order, optional templates to insert, changes with the update permission of the record and in the audit log; ProgressColumn::checklist() shows the progress in lists. See Checklist.
  • ImageColumn: pictures or initials of users (user()) or of records of another model (relationship()), several overlapping with limit(), the name next to a single one with withLabel(). Pictures only from paths of the application. See ImageColumn.
  • ProgressColumn: a bar with a percentage or done of total (3/5), green when finished. See ProgressColumn.
  • Resource::ownerImageColumn(): the owner of the record as an ImageColumn.
  • The list of roles shows the users of each role.
  • Config\Anvil::$permissions accepts language keys for groups and labels, so custom permissions are translated in the role editor.
  • Tasks::openForKey(): open tasks of the application with a key on a record.
  • The package contains the documentation as Markdown (docs/src/content/docs) for AI assistants and searching, see AI assistants.

Changes

Section titled “Changes”
  • $relationTabs shows all sections of the detail page below the form as tabs, not only the related records: workflows, ownership, checklist, own components, comments, attachments and history. Components name their tab with LabelledComponent::label().

Bugs Fixed

Section titled “Bugs Fixed”
  • With webhooks on, saving a record outside of a tenant – e.g. creating a tenant – failed with “No tenant is set”: subscriptions were looked up in the tenant context. Changes outside of a tenant now have no subscriptions.
  • Long titles in cards pushed out of the card instead of being truncated: the class min-w-0 was used but not defined.
